Cook Named Pharmacist-of-the-Year

Terri S. Cook, PharmD, BCPS, was named the 2013 Kentucky Society of Health-System Pharmacists (KSHP) Pharmacist-of-the-Year. The award was presented during the 2013 KSHP Annual Meeting in French Lick, Indiana. This award recognizes an individual pharmacist for his or her leadership, vision, and continuous contribution to the practice of pharmacy.

Dr. Cook, a 2006 UK College of Pharmacy alumna, is a Cardiovascular Clinical Pharmacist at UK HealthCare. Prior to working for UK, she completed a PGY1 Residency and a PGY2 Cardiology/Critical Care Residency at Saint Joseph HealthCare in Lexington. She also served as the Chief Pharmacy Resident while at Saint Joseph.

Dr. Cook remains engaged with her alma mater, conducting numerous therapeutics lectures for the College. She serves as Chair of the Committee on Programming and Practitioner Education for KSHP, which helps to plan continuing education programming for KSHP’s meetings. In addition to her role with KSHP, she is a Cardiac Care Associate with the American College of Cardiology, a member of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy, and a member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP). Since 2009, Dr. Cook has volunteered with the Kid’s Cancer Alliance Indian Summer Camp.
