Jimmi Hatton - Pharm.D., FCCP, FCCM, CCRC

Dr. Hatton's primary research focus area is critical care therapeutics and nutrition, specifically applied to the neurotrauma population. Since 1991 she has been a co-investigator in Phase II and Phase III clinical trials of drugs under investigation for treatment of traumatic brain injury. She has been a co-investigator of the clinical project in an NIH-funded, five-year program project grant evaluating mechanisms of brain injury and the systemic metabolic response. Her research focus is expanding to include analytical techniques and translational research in designing optimal dosing strategies for drugs with potential application in the traumatic brain injured patient. In 2005, Dr. Hatton joined Dr. Ed Hall at the Spinal Cord and Brain Injury Research Center as a collaborator in translational pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic investigations in traumatic brain injury. In 2006, her experience in clinical research and teaching of clinical research ethics will be utilized in a Department Scholarship and Mentoring enhancement program for faculty, professional and graduate student development.
