John Armitstead - MS
Mr. Armitstead received his master's degree in hospital and clinical pharmacy from The Ohio State University. He completed a residency in hospital pharmacy at Riverside Methodist Hospitals in Columbus, Ohio.
His responsibilities at the University of Kentucky include the direction and coordination of pharmaceutical care provision consisting of over 130 FTEs of pharmacy staff providing services to patients of University of Kentucky HealthCare. Additional responsibilities include human resource management, variable supply management (over $60 Million annually), strategic planning, information technology, Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee secretary and support functions, and serving as overall director of the UK Hospital pharmacy residency programs.
