Michael Berger - Pharm.D.
Dr. Berger is the Clinical Training Coordinator (CTC) for the newly developed Clinical Education Center (CEC) based at Owensboro Medical Health System (OMHS) in Owensboro, Kentucky. This center represents a partnership between the UK, College of Pharmacy and OMHS offering pharmacy students an opportunity to complete all of their required Advance Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) in the Owensboro area. As the CTC, Dr. Berger has oversight of the experiential education rotations for all the CEC students in the Owensboro CEC and is responsible for facilitating the expansion of clinical site rotations at OMHS and in the Owensboro CEC geographical area within the state of Kentucky.
Dr. Berger is a 2003 graduate of the UK College of Pharmacy. Prior to this position, Dr. Berger held various clinical and staff positions in the hospital and clinic setting. He practiced at Owensboro Medical Health System, Community Methodist Hospital, Henderson, KY and most recently Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. There, Dr. Berger had a special affection for his patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at The Women’s Hospital and his patients at the Deaconess Anticoagulation Clinic.
