Involvement in student organizations is an important aspect of your development as a professional and as a leader! Through active participation, whether by holding an office, participating in a community service event, or simply enjoying a social activity, you will learn more about your profession, improve the health care of another individual, and deepen your connections with your classmates.
The students in your classes can help you succeed academically, can push you to expand your comfort zone, and can help you as you strive to improve the health care of a patient in your community who might otherwise not receive health care! Deepen your understanding about what it means to be a pharmacist by cheering up a child through Reverse Trick-or-Treat, volunteering at Faith Pharmacy, participating in a Brown Bag event, or attending an annual meeting. Learn more about branching out on your own or providing health care to the elderly at a KAPS Convocation or find some friends who understand the course that simply seems impossible to get!
